Luxury in NYC – The Kimberly Hotel

“I love New York, even though it isn’t mine, the way something has to be, a tree or a street or a house, something, anyway, that belongs to me because I belong to it.” – Truman Capote

There is no place like New York City, especially for a lover of luxury hotels. I had the pleasure recently of visiting The Kimberly Hotel, located in the heart of Midtown. Click Here to view the location on Google Maps.

The Kimberly Hotel is part of the Worldhotels Collection.

Accommodations

Steeped in luxurious European style and design, The Kimberly Hotel features 188 guestrooms of varying types – Deluxe Guestrooms, Studio Suites, One-Bedroom Suites, Executive Plus Suites, and Two-Bedroom Suites. I enjoyed a spectacular top floor corner One-Bedroom Suite.

Here are some images of this stellar suite, complete with full marble wet bar, and private balcony with the sumptuous view of the city. Notice the textures and plush appointments.

Dining – Bistango & Upstairs at The Kimberly

The Kimberly Hotel offers as its signature dining experience, Bistango, serving authentic Italian cuisine.

The property’s other dining option is certainly its most dramatic and lauded – Upstairs at The Kimberly. Set atop the property’s penthouse level at the 30th floor, Upstairs offers to both travelers and New Yorkers alike, farm-to-table cuisine, hand-crafted cocktails, and stunning views of Midtown. Just awesome.

Closing Thoughts

Although I’ve never lived in New York City like Truman Capote, I understand his sentiment. I’ve visited many times and like all special places, the city changes and stays with me. Experiencing the city through its rich history, landmarks, buildings, and people, leaves the traveler with the soul of the city running through your veins.

The next time you visit New York City, I highly recommend that you book The Kimberly Hotel, click the elevator’s PH button, and sink into a chair Upstairs with a hand-crafted cocktail. As you gaze at the Midtown skyline, you’ll hear Truman Capote’s voice, and realize that New York City belongs to you, and you to it.

Thanks so very much to everyone at The Kimberly Hotel and for the use of some of your high resolution images! Thanks also to Alyssa for making this visit possible.

Please take note that the hotel welcomed me as a special media guest, but that my opinions are, as always, entirely my own.

Thank you so very much for taking the time to read this article, and happy dining and traveling!
