We recently traveled to Toronto and we’d heard a lot of great things about dbar by Cafe Boulud at the Four Seasons Toronto. It did not disappoint. Outstanding cuisine, stellar ambiance, and exemplary service.
We entered through the main entrance of the Four Seasons, which lived up to our expectations for a Four Seasons.
We then walked through the main lobby toward the restaurant, and the signature Four Seasons Lobby Flowers were stunning and most photo-worthy. So beautiful.
We were then sat at a table in the restaurant, where I was able to get a few pictures:
We immediately loved the menu. Check it out. Lots of fresh and inventive items, like the Country Style Pork Pate and the Merguez Sausage. But I’m a creature of habit, and a New England kid at heart, so I had no choice but to order the Market Oysters for a starter, and the Lobster Roll. Wow, omg were these amazing.
I forget the Oyster type, but I want to say Nova Scotia. Regardless, they were about as good as I’ve had anywhere – cold, crisp, and succulent. The Lobster Roll consists of Pain au Lait, Lobster, Tarragon, Celery, Lemon Aioli, and Old Bay Potato Chips. Once again, one of the best Lobster rolls I’ve had. Incredibly fresh and well-prepared.
My wife enjoyed the Moules Frites, Mussels, White Wine and Creme Fraiche, Herbs and Pommes Frites. She adored it, which is saying something since Mussels are one of her go-to menu items and she’s had them all over the world.
dbar by Cafe Boulud was astounding, and we can’t wait to get back! It is most certainly one of the best places to eat in Toronto! I highly recommend a visit if you’re in the area!
