“When I admire the wonders of a sunset, or the beauty of the moon, my soul expands in the worship of the creator.” – Mahatma Gandhi
I have a tendency to scan the world for the most luxurious places to visit, but more often than not, beauty is right around the corner. In this case, I had the pleasure of discovering the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort in Phoenix.

Accommodations
I enjoyed an elevated suite, featuring sumptuous views. The suite was light, well-appointed, spacious, and comfy. The property dots a number of natural hills and peaks, and the suite terraces frame custom views.
Water
I unfortunately didn’t have the opportunity to experience the property’s Resort Pools, the Falls Water Village or its Poolside Cabanas, but I want to make a point to mention as few properties feature such an expansive water area for families; including a dramatic 40-foot waterfall. Here are some images, courtesy of the resort:
Spa and Golf
The Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs also features the Tocaloma Spa, which offers a monthly membership for local residents. If you’re golfer, the resort will connect you to the lovely Lookout Mountain Golf Club.
Dining
The highlight of my experience included a special tasting dinner at the elegant and picturesque Different Pointe of View restaurant at the top of the property. The restaurant is a Phoenix landmark, and offers some of most stunning views in the state.
This dinner was part of a monthly dinner series that spotlights the craft of the restaurant’s chef-driven menu. Our chef operated in an open cooking setting where the guests were treated to a virtuoso cooking performance. I’ve experienced high-end tasting dinners all over the world, and this was in that class – food quality, freshness, preparation, ambiance; just spectacular. I dined on some of the best Wagyu beef anywhere.
Closing Thoughts
The thrill of discovering beauty is one of life’s purest joys. Without knowing, I’d passed the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort countless times passing through Phoenix. Through this blog and connecting with Andra, I’ve been most fortunate to experience the property, and also thankful that I’ve discovered it in plenty of time for future visits.
I urge you to discover the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort for yourself. It is a jewel in Arizona’s rich tradition of unique luxury resorts. So book a suite, open the doors to your balcony and take in the views and the light wind that will brush across your face. You’ll never forget the experience.

Thanks so very much to everyone at the resort, to Andra for all of her help, and for the use of the high resolution images!
Please take note that the resort welcomed me as a special media guest, but that my opinions are, as always, entirely my own.
Thank you so very much for taking the time to read this article, and happy dining and traveling!
